Have some photo spam of Gracie's first time in the indoor.
She was a little "up" and a little zoomy initially, which was to be expected. I let her run around at liberty until she was ready to come back to me.
10 minutes later, you would have never known this was her first time in an indoor.
Even Carlos took her for a spin.
I love this mare.
Nice that its so close to home!
ReplyDelete3 miles is amazing! The arena looks lovely too.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet. Welcome to the joys of riding inside. And go Gracie!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats - you must be psyched! Super jealous of your indoor access. Love the zoomie pics. :D
ReplyDeleteGracie's a good one. Wanna ride her!
ReplyDeleteCan I tell you a little story that made me think of you?
My cat sneezed.
The next day she sneezed again.
And the next - I panicked and my husband and I forced her into the carrier and took her to the vet. She's a wild thing, it was not easy.
Doctor took her vitals and asked how long she's been sneezing.
3 days. "How often?" 3 times.
He giggled at us. He checked her gums, nose, eyes, mouth, ears, stomach, temp, heart, weighed her, 3.5 kg.
He said "You guys are different from most of my clients. This cat is perfectly healthy. You must have changed hair sprays, or haven't dusted as often, to make her sneeze."
I had read about rhino (katzenschnupfen) and was worried - you don't ignore a sneeze.
I'm happy to say she's fine, and that our doctor finds us funny. He charged us 21Euros for the drop-in appointment.
Totally worth it, for the humiliation. But seriously our next cat will be human-friendly. We love her, but we're just can openers to her.
She's looking so cute at her new place - barn tour!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! And more than a little jealous. Not only an indoor, but a GORGEOUS indoor. So conveniently located too. Wahoo!
